Choose Personal Responsibility Over Liberal Fascist Statism

The promoter for a popular Dallas nightclub boasted on Twitter Friday that a dozen Dallas Cowboys football players were at the Club Privae. She tweeted that the booze was flowing on the same night Cowboys linebacker Jerry Brown died in a drunk-driving accident.

“These fools buying Ace on top of Ace!!!!” according to a tweet from the account of Kimesha Jackson, the promoter/event coordinator for the Dallas nightclub Privae. Ace is believed to be Ace of Spades, a champagne popular on the nightclub circuit and favored by celebrities.

A few minutes earlier, Jackson sent a tweet saying, “I have 12 Cowboys in theeee building!!!!”

Brown and nose tackle Josh Brent were roommates and best friends. They were among the players at Privae before Brent wrecked his car. There are reports out there that Brent was driving 100mph when his Mercedes hit a curb and flipped “8 or 9 times”. The accident was completely preventable, as the NFL Players Association gives every player a toll free number to get a ride from anywhere to anywhere 24/7/365 with no questions asked for FREE.

According to USA Today Sports, 42 arrests involving NFL players have occurred so far in 2012.

Once again, Bob Costas felt like he needed to weigh in on the tragedy during halftime of Sunday night’s Football Night in America. Last week Costas said that NFL players should be banned from owning guns. He also said that nothing good ever comes from guns.

But this Sunday, Costas did not call for banning NFL players from drinking or owning automobiles. Instead he said that the players needed more education. Seriously? Costas sickens me. For decades he has operated behind the scenes quietly pushing his liberal fascist agenda. Now he’s out of the closet. Guns bad. Booze good. Liberals are into drinking and drugging but not guns.

Liberal fascists don’t believe in freedom or personal responsibility. Do as we say and the state will take care of all the evils in society by passing laws and spending money that less than half the population pays them in federal income tax.

Liberals want to convince you that the tragedy last week involving Jovan Belcher’s murder/suicide could have been avoided if gun ownership was severely restricted or in most cases simply banned.

The Dan Patrick Show’s Director of Operations Patrick “Seton” O’Connor tweeted Sunday night, “Costas should’ve signed off with ‘btw- 224 people were shot to death in the US since my last halftime commentary. Just sayin.’

O’Connor lists his favorite TV Show as MSNBC and Rachel Maddow not only looks like him, she’s his hero. What O’Connor failed to note was that 700 people died in automobile accidents since Costas Belcher lecture.

Why not advocate banning cars and/or booze Seton? Well because Seton and the Danettes love their drink and drugs. Their radio daddy Dan Patrick is sponsored by Dodge Trucks. They ain’t going there for sure. Seton told me last month that guns have only one purpose, “killing people”. Seriously?

Liberal fascists are not only enemies of America and freedom. They are liars and subversives who rely on useful idiots to lap up their propaganda. Well over a million lives are saved every year by firearms, most of which are never fired. Take away guns and the body count increases at least 19,230 a week vs 224.

Both Costas and O’Connor have every right to their opinions. But using Sports programming to promote their liberal fascist agenda is out of bounds. We the people have every right to criticize them and advocate boycotting their shows. Tim Brando has a show on at the same time as Dan Patrick in most markets. Brando has publicly identified himself as a conservative. Listen to it on Yahoo radio or watch it on CBS Sports TV instead of Dan Patrick.

Jim Rome is another competitor of Dan Patrick and he has a much more reasonable take on the Second Amendment than O’Connor and Costas. Rome is a SoCal guy who supports responsible ownership and use of firearms. Listen to the Jim Rome Show on the Premiere Radio Network and watch Rome on CBS Sports and Showtime.

You aren’t going to quit watching Sunday Night Football because of Bob Costas but you can Tweet your dissatisfaction to @NBCsports on Twitter. Contact Football Night in America sponsors and advertisers and express you unhappiness with liberal political commentary during sporting events. Inform your family, friends and co-workers that Costas is a gun grabbing liberal who seeks to repeal all our Second Amendment civil rights because he believes guns are only used for evil.

Wake up America! The Democrats are the Party of tyranny and statism.

“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government” — Thomas Jefferson, 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Roger Goodell's NFL has Turned the Wolf into a Futbol Fan

Im not a fan of Roger Goodell or his new brand of NFL football.  Goodell is a PR Czar kind of guy who has decided to mold the NFL brand into his own image.  Ignoring, universal rule #1, if it aint broke dont try and fix it, Goodell is building a kinder gentler product on the field while ruling with an iron fist from his office in Manhatten.

Thanks to Roger Ive discovered original English football, a game we call soccer in America.  Ive had a casual interest in soccer since high school but now with the miracle of the Internet and Directv, I can become as informed a fan as the most fanatic hooligan in Manchester. I can watch live games just about everyday if Im so inclined.

Barclays English Premier League is futbol at the highest level.  The EPL is able to attract the best players in the world.  But there are also excellent leagues in Europe and throughout the world. La Liga, UEFA, Bundesliga, Serie A and countless others.

Football, Futbol, Soccer is truly the Worlds favorite sport.  Most Americans however could care less about the great game.  But fortunately for me, Im not one of those and the more I get into football, espeically the EPL and UEFA, it the more I like it.

The more I hear from Roger Goodell, the less I like the NFL.  Today the NFL announced that replacement officials will be working the first regular season game.  Roger Goodell is arrogant enough to believe that you are stupid enough to believe that anyone can officiate an NFL game.

Just ask Jerry Jones who said he could find 500 coaches to replace Jimmy Johnson and still win.  In a way Jerry was correct.  The Cowboys have won a single playoff game in the last 15 years.  And guess what, the Cowboys are still the second most valuable sporting franchise in the world (behind Manchester United).  The Networks still give the Cowboys more coverage than any team in the League and the Cowboys franchise is still the most liked and most hated in the NFL. Jerry is making money and he thanks you for your support.

Goodell is gambling that he can do the same with the rest of the NFL.  See David Stern over at the NBA for details.

Dont get me wrong, I will watch the Cowboys games and some of the other NFL games available Sunday, Monday and now Thursday.  Ill be watching college football too.  Im a sports fan.  I love the drama, the unpredictably and the low cost entertainment that sports played at the highest level provide.  I admire and respect the talent and skills of the players and coaches.

However, I dont look to the players as role models no more than I look at actors in that manner.  Their job is to be the best they can at what they do while entertaining the rest of us.  I dont care what their politics are, dont care if they go to strip clubs or run around on their wives or even if they pay their taxes or hit their mamas.  I dont care how much they are paid and dont care that most of them will be broke within five years of leaving the game.

I do care that Roger Goodell thinks Im an idiot and I do care that hes a hypocrite. He punished the New Orleans Saints to make an example out of them. Yet the Saints were doing what every NFL team has been doing for the last 75 years.  He decided to make an example out of them so he (and his league) would look good.

Political correctness is a cancer found every where these days.  See Bud Selig and Barry Bonds or Lance Armstrong and USADA for details.  Armstrong was doing what all the cyclists were doing at the time.  So was Barry Bonds.  Take away Armstrongs seven Toure de France wins and give them to other confirmed dopers.  Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Throw Barry Bonds under the bus to make youself feel better about allowing steroids to save baseball after the strike.  Yeah, thats the ticket.

But guess what, I dont care.  I enjoy watching LeToure and dont care about any of the riders legacies. I still watch baseball and dont care about the steroids era one way or the other.   I watch to be entertained just like some of you watch ghost hunting, reality shows or Mexican soap operas.  Each to his own.

Thanks to the miracle of a 60 inch HD (and sometimes 3D) TV, I watch from the comfort of my Lazy Boy.  Cowboys Stadium is just 12 miles from my Lazy Boy and even if Jerry Jones gave me 50 yard line tickets, I have a better seat at the Wolf Den. Ah, the miracle of technology

But for those of you who still like to attend games, Roger Goodell has some new rules in play.  Dont get pissed at those replacement refs and attract the attention of one of those minimum wage yellow jacket security morons.

Roger has instituted a new policy in which fans ejected from a stadium will be required to take a 4 hour online course before they are allowed to return to an NFL facility.  I kid you not.

According to ESPN the course focuses on drinking, anger management and crude behavior.  If an ejected fan (there were around 7,000 last season) does not complete the course and is found on stadium property, he or she will be arrested.  Now you know why they call it the No Fun League.

If I wanted to take bullshit online political correctness courses, I would have hung on with the federal government for a few more years. At least they paid me to waste my time learning how to be PC.

Oh well. Not for me to worry.  I may be an old man but Im a new fan of the beautiful game of football.  Its easier to crack the code on an offside pass in futbol than pass interference in the NFL. There are games to watch everyday if Im so inclined, thanks to FOX Soccer, BEin Sports, GOL-TV and ESPN.   Its all about options.  Life is Good even with Goodell, who cant rain on my parade even with replacement officals.

Not for nothing, but if you are inclined to wage on regular season NFL games officiated by NCAA Division 2 refs at best,  Lingerie Bowl refs at worst, youve got too much money, too little sense or a gambling problem. Of course you are going to wager, thats the reason America loves football as much as England loves football. Take the UNDER 9.5 wins for the Cowboys this season.  Yeah, they gonna suck again this year. See the Texas Longhorns for details. Boomer Sooners!

Have a Bonzer Day!

15 Years of Cowboys Failure Courtesy of Jerry Jones

The Rams and Tampa Bay fire their coaches.

The Colts fire general manager Bill Polian.

And the Cowboys would be so much better if they would fire theirs.

Fifteen years now with a single playoff win. Thirty-two teams in the NFL, and the Cowboys are one of only seven that hasnt won at least two playoff games in the last 15 years.

The Cowboys are in a group now with Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Houston, Kansas City and Buffalo (and what a fine group of football teams that is).

Dale Hansen hits this one out of the park.  Heres everything you need to know about Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys in 2 minutes. Must see TV from WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas

Jerry Jones is the Cowboys Problem YOU are the Solution

For decades no NFL team in history had more fans or more haters than the Dallas Cowboys. That star on the helmet and the arrogance that goes along with winning 5 Super Bowls made the Dallas Cowboys the most valuable sports franchise in the world. No team had won more Super Bowls than “America’s Team”. You loved them or hated them. There was no in between.

In 2009, Forbes listed the Cowboys as the highest valued sports franchise in the history of the United States, and second in the world (behind Manchester United of the English Premier League ), with an estimated value of approximately $1.65 billion.  The Cowboys are the wealthiest team in the NFL, generating $270 million in annual revenue.

But the Steelers have won the most Super Bowls now, and the Cowboys have gone 16 years without a Super Bowl appearance while winning just one playoff game.  After their embarrassing loss to the Giants, theyre 8/8 and wont even be in the playoffs this year.  Jerry Jones is turning life long Cowboys fans into Cowboys haters. Listen in to one of the three DFW sports radio stations for details.

Jerry Jones is the embodiment of the Cowboys hate these days. Jerry lead former legendary Giants owner Wellington Mara to say, after a Giants win in 1996, “It’s nice to see arrogance humbled.” Jones is the ultimate meddling owner, a rich guy who insists on hogging the spotlight and naming himself appointing himself General Manager for life. Just in case you forgot that, Jones promised last week during a radio interview that he has no intention of ever reducing his overbearing role.

But Jerry Jones is not just the incompetent General Manager who can’t draft NFL talent. Jerry is the Head Coach in hiding. Jerry is the egomaniac who actually made a trip to the sidelines last week to make sure his Princeton grad head coach was smart enough to keep his injured quarterback out of a meaningless game.

Last night was the 100th meeting between the Giants and Cowboys. Dallas has a 56-41-2 record against New York. The Cowboys won 12 straight against the Giants from 1974-1980. But if you’re younger than 40 years old, you don’t remember nor do you care.

Jerry Jones has become Al Davis and until Jerry joins Al, the Cowboys are going no where, just like the Raiders did for the last few decades under Davis.

As long as Cowboys Stadium is selling out and Jerry is making money on everything from merchandise & marketing, to not one but two world wide Dallas Cowboys Radio Networks, nothing is going to change. If you want to Cowboys to compete in the Super Bowl in your lifetime, stop enabling Jerry Jones.

Stop spending your hard earned money to support the Dallas Cowboys or STFU and live with it. Jerry Jones is the problem. YOU are the solution.

Jerry is really the Cowboys’ head coach in hiding
