GUN NUTS LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT MASS SHOOTING

If you dont watch MSNBC or CNN than you may not be aware that the biggest gun nuts in America are Progressives.  These hoplohobes are obsessed with your guns.  Obama used to blame Bush for everything.  Today its the NRA. Guns are responsible for every problem we have, according to the left.

Piece Morgan spews his venom and vitriol daily in his tweeter feed, which has more followers than his CNN television show has viewers.

You wont hear Drama Queen Piers, who is so concerned with childrens safety, talk about the worlds largest childrens gun safety program, which is run by the NRA. Nor will #DearPiers tell you that measles kill 250,000 children outside of the United States every year, a problem that can eradicated with vaccinations.

Regular MSNBC “Morning Joe” panelist Donny Deutsch said last week that senators who voted against last month’s failed gun legislation will “literally have blood on their hands” the next time there’s a shooting.

“Unfortunately the next time a crazy or somebody who would have not gotten a gun from a background check kills somebody, I want to know what the response is going to be because they literally have blood on their hands,” Deutsch said. “I want their response — that senator’s response — the next time, whether it’s tomorrow, next week, next month, a child, anybody is killed by somebody who might have been prevented by a background check, I want to know their answers at that moment in time.”

“They have blood on their hands,” he repeated. “It’s that simple. There’s no gray, there’s no abstract here, it is literally — the dots are that connected.”

“Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski seconded Deutsch’s comments, adding, “I agree completely. I’m sorry, there is no excuse for this.”

We won the first round in the Senate. But we can not let our guard down.  Progressives are working each and everyday to destroy the NRA and usurp Second Amendment civil rights.

We need to stay on the offensive. We must push to expand gun rights in our home states.  Firearms save hundreds of lives each day in the United States. Maddow, Morgan, Donaldson, Deutsch and all the cogs in the progressive propaganda machine have full time armed personal protection officers.

In fact, if you dont have a gun yet, you can make yourself and your family safer by simpy looking like you are carrying a gun.  Bad guys are looking for a victim, not a gun fight.

Smith and Wesson, a Massachusetts gun manufacturer, reported at the NRA meeting that 35% of gun purchases in the United States in 2012 were first time gun owners.  We are winning and the progressives are whining.

Since December, weve been fighting to save our civil rights.  But the most popular posts on this blog are the ones about guns, not gun politics.  So starting tomorrow, we are going to get back to the business of writing about guns and gear.  Ammo may still in short supply but guns and gear are available now.

I was able to put hands on a ton of guns and gear at the 142nd NRA Annual Meeting in Houston.

It's Not About Gun Control - It's About a Total Ban on Civilian Gun Ownership

Last night at the NRA Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas. Glenn Beck warned NRA members that the freedom of all mankind is at stake and the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

They want to fundamentally transform our country and theyve just about finished the project, Beck told an audience of thousands Saturday evening at the NRA Stand and Fight Rally, They feel they must regulate us until we comply, but I will not comply.

Neither universal background checks nor any other proposed legislation is about gun control.  ITS ALL ABOUT A TOTAL BAN AND SUBSEQUENT CONFISCATION OF CIVILIAN OWNED GUNS. PERIOD.

During his 1996 Senate campaign Obama was asked, “Do you support legislation to ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns?”  His answer was “Yes.  When campaigning for president in 2004, Obama said,  “I continue to support a [federal] ban on concealed carry.

Feinsteins “assault weapons” ban, supported by both Obama and Bloomberg would have enacted confiscation over a generation.  Gun owners would not immediately surrender their firearms, but because of the angle of the grip on the shotgun, or more than a dozen other cosmetic caveats, it would be a felony offense to pass hundreds of models of legally purchased and possessed firearms to anyone else, including family members, when you die.  Millions of guns would be confiscated by the government and destroyed over a generation.mm“We’re not taking any guns away from you, just all future generations.”

James W. Porter II, who will be elected president by the NRA board of directors tomorrow said yesterday, I hear some Americans say with the last election, the country is lost. No, no. An election was lost.

Theres another election more important for the second amendment right around the corner, Porter said. With the U.S. Senate and the House (both) up for grabs, we as individual NRA members can direct the massive energy of spontaneous combustion to gain the political high ground. We do that and Obama can be stopped.

Progressives are working full time to drive a wedge between NRA leadership and its members. But their strategy is fundamentally flawed.  The NRA, like the GOP, loses members when their organizations move to the left, not to the right.  Progressives dont get it.  The average NRA member does.

Efforts to pass gun-control legislation have only made the National Rifle Association stronger, as the membership rolls now surpass a record 5 million, NRA Vice President Wayne LaPierre told the gun rights groups annual meeting Saturday.

The state of the NRA is stronger and larger than it has ever been, LaPierre said during the annual meeting attended by over 75,000 NRA members. Our commitment to freedom is unwavering and our growth is unprecedented. By the time were finished, the NRA must and will be 10 million strong.

About one-tenth of the members have joined in the past six months, the NRA says.

Political elites and their allies in the media are pushing a gun-control agenda that will lead to gun confiscation and a more dangerous America.

The NRA, LaPierre said, is at the middle of the river of Americas mainstream, and what we want is exactly what most Americans want, he said.

Progressives Planning to Come Back for Your Guns

Progressives will NEVER give up on banning civilian ownership of firearms.  See UK, Canada and Australia for details.

A week after the Senate failed to come up with 60 votes to pass more gun control measures Crazy Joe Biden regrouped with gun control advocates yesterday and reassured them the White House isnt giving up the fight.

Biden made a real commitment to keep pushing for more gun control laws, said Pia Carusone, executive director of Americans for Responsible Solutions, a gun control PAC run by former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Ariz.) and her husband Mark Kelly.

Bidens message to the groups was, Its the beginning. Its not the end, said Carusone. The tone of the meeting was very positive. There is a collective sense that we are on the right side of history.

Yesterday the New York Times reported that talks to revive gun control legislation are under way on Capitol Hill.  Drawing on the lessons from battles in the 1980s and ’90s over the Brady Bill, which failed in Congress several times before ultimately passing, gun control supporters believe they can prevail.

According to the NY Times, gun control groups and Obama allies are already turning an eye to 2014, plotting payback for senators who voted against expanded background checks. Giffords group is even prepared to run ads against Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who is a close friend of Giffords but who also voted against background checks.

Senator Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire,  only one out of 22 senators on the East Coast north of Virginia who voted against the Manchin-Toomey-Schumer gun control amendment has been the target lately of some of the most furious lobbying by gun control proponents.  The NY Times says local newspapers have been inundated with letters to the editor denouncing her vote, and the gun grabbers have run radio ads saying she “ignored the will of the people”.

The gun grabbers will never give up and gun owners (in at least 40 states) are willing to waive their Second Amendment rights and give up their guns.  This fight will play out in the 2014 mid-term elections.  Supporters of Second Amendment civil rights, including Democrats who voted against Manchin-Toomey-Schumer need to be supported with our time and treasure, to defeat the gun banners.

Senators who supported the Schumer/Bloomberg backed amendment, including Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Mary Landrieu (D-La.) MUST be opposed and defeated.

According to the Progressive Propaganda publication, the Huffington Post, several senators have confided to Crazy Joe Biden that they are feeling the backlash from constituents.

Those senators told him that they needed to be assured there was adequate support for expanded gun control to pass because they did not want to take such a great political risk on something that was doomed to fail. Those Senators are vulnerable and MUST be defeated to protect our Second Amendment civil rights.

We can not afford to let our guard down for a minute.  The Progressives are coming for our guns.

I think were going to bring back that bill and address it, said Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), who has been leading the charge for action in the wake of the Newtown shootings. It may be months, it may be half a year. But the Majority Leader seems committed to bringing it back.

Obama Turns Up the Heat, Declares War on Second Amendment Rights

Childishness and demagoguery are a dangerous mix especially when exhibited by the President of the United States.  Yesterday angry Barack Hussein Obama branded the defeat of his gun control agenda as shameful and accused Senators of going against the wishes of 90% of the American people. Seriously?

Obama said, “All that happened today was the preservation of the loophole that lets dangerous criminals buy guns without a background check. That didn’t make our kids safer.”

Since when do dangerous criminals buy their guns from licensed dealers?

Even Dianne Feinstein admitted on the floor of the Senate that a universal background check would not have prevented Newtown.

Ringed by relatives of the Newtown victims, Obama lashed out at the Senators, including Democrats, who voted against the gun control legislation, vowing to continue the fight for gun control.

Ironically, while accusing opponents of lying, Obama cited false claims and statistics about current laws, including the repeatedly debunked argument that 40% of gun sales are private, and that guns can be bought over the Internet without background checks.  In fact it was the dishonesty of the Bloomberg/Obama coalition  that led potential supporters of the legislation to doubt the administrations motives in supporting the bill.

Here are the highlights of the vote:

(1) The most important vote was the Toomey-Manchin-Schumer national gun registry proposal. With 60 votes needed for passage, the Toomey-Manchin-Schumer amendment was shot down by a vote of 54-46.

(2) The Cornyn-Vitter-Thune amendment - pushed hard by Gun Owners of America - received a 57-43 vote This provision would have allowed concealed carry holders and persons in constitutional carry states to carry nationwide. The overwhelming vote on this amendment sets the stage for bringing it up again. We need to pick up just three Senators in the 2014 midterm elections.

(3) The Feinstein gun ban lost by a vote of 40-60 - falling far short of a majority - and the magazine ban lost by a vote of 46-54. Neither garnered even the simple majority of 51 votes.  Ironically, Obama expressed dismay that the Senate rules required the super majority of 60 votes to pass the legislation.  If that had been the case, National Concealed Carry Reciprocity, which the left vehemently opposes, would have passed.

Obama made clear his intention to use Wednesdays defeat to rally supporters against Republicans, whom he blamed directly and angrily, suggesting that they had defied the will of the American people and attempted to silence the families of Newtown victims who had a right to be heard in the debate.

Forced to cover a rare political defeat for the left, the mainstream media largely echoed his emotions. Virtually all of CNNs correspondents agreed that the Manchin-Toomey-Schumer bill had been defeated because of the power of the National Rifle Association and the fear of politicians afraid to take on Second Amendment activists. None considered that support for gun control has been declining, or that the legislation itself was deeply flawed.

Again and again, Obama noted that 90% of Americans, and a majority of National Rifle Association members, supported expanded background checks. The former constitutional law lecturer seemed to expect that that majoritys will should be self-executing, ignoring the fact that constitutional rights like the Second Amendment exist precisely to protect minorities against majoritarian passions and presidential demagoguery.

His opponents, the president insisted, refused to make it more difficult for dangerous criminals to buy weaponsignoring one of the core arguments of the other side, namely that dangerous criminals ignore the laws to obtain weapons, while law-abiding citizens bear the burden of new rules and restrictions. He reduced his opponents motives to pure politics, accusing them of being afraid of being punished by an organized, determined minority.

Rarely have Americans ever seen a president attack his opponents so viciously, expressing and evoking such visceral emotionsespecially at a time of mourning. President Obamas tirade contrasted with his reserved, measured response to the Boston Marathon bombings, in which he urged Americans to speak and act with restraint. If this has been, as he claimed, a pretty shameful day in Washington, the presidents tantrum was the most shameful moment of all.

Tell Your Senators to Vote NO on Manchin-Toomey Amendment, YES on Grassley Proposal

Later today the U.S. Senate is expected to begin debate on gun-control legislation including The Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act, S. Amdt. 715, proposed by Sens. Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Toomey (R-Pa.) that will infringe upon your Second Amendment Rights. Your senators need to hear from you now!

The Manchin-Toomey Amendment, which is co-sponsored by anti-gun Sens. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Kirk (R-lll.), would effectively shut down all storefront National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) checks on weekends by requiring that gun show checks must be COMPLETED before any store check can be completed.

Prioritizing gun show checks over storefront checks will harm firearms retailers businesses. Weekends, when gun shows take place, are the busiest time for storefront retailers who will not be able to run background checks for their customers. The Second Amendment rights of customers at gun shops are just as important as those of gun show attendees. Congress should provide adequate resources to NICS so that ALL background checks are done instantly.

The Manchin-Toomey measure, S. Amdt. 715, also does not address critical product liability concerns for retailers processing private party transfers and imposes record-keeping responsibilities that could result in license revocation for even simple mistakes. Tell your senators not to put retailers livelihoods on the line.

Instead, urge senators to vote YES on Sen. Grassleys (R-Iowa) proposal which is supported by NSSF. This positive measure would help Fix NICS and improve current law, without expanding background checks that punish retailers and infringe on the Second Amendment. Your senators need to hear from you in support of the real solutions in the Grassley measure.

Find and call your U.S. senators here  , or dial 202-224-3121, and tell them to VOTE NO on the flawed Manchin-Toomey Amendment and YES on the solution-based Grassley alternative.
