Crazy Joe Biden is Obama's Point Man on Gun Control

Colion Noir addresses Vice President Joe Biden’s inability to give advice on gun safety and home protection.

Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America’s oldest civil rights and sportsmen’s group. Four million members strong, NRA continues its mission to uphold Second Amendment rights and to advocate enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation’s leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the military.

Obama Turns Up the Heat, Declares War on Second Amendment Rights

Childishness and demagoguery are a dangerous mix especially when exhibited by the President of the United States.  Yesterday angry Barack Hussein Obama branded the defeat of his gun control agenda as shameful and accused Senators of going against the wishes of 90% of the American people. Seriously?

Obama said, “All that happened today was the preservation of the loophole that lets dangerous criminals buy guns without a background check. That didn’t make our kids safer.”

Since when do dangerous criminals buy their guns from licensed dealers?

Even Dianne Feinstein admitted on the floor of the Senate that a universal background check would not have prevented Newtown.

Ringed by relatives of the Newtown victims, Obama lashed out at the Senators, including Democrats, who voted against the gun control legislation, vowing to continue the fight for gun control.

Ironically, while accusing opponents of lying, Obama cited false claims and statistics about current laws, including the repeatedly debunked argument that 40% of gun sales are private, and that guns can be bought over the Internet without background checks.  In fact it was the dishonesty of the Bloomberg/Obama coalition  that led potential supporters of the legislation to doubt the administrations motives in supporting the bill.

Here are the highlights of the vote:

(1) The most important vote was the Toomey-Manchin-Schumer national gun registry proposal. With 60 votes needed for passage, the Toomey-Manchin-Schumer amendment was shot down by a vote of 54-46.

(2) The Cornyn-Vitter-Thune amendment - pushed hard by Gun Owners of America - received a 57-43 vote This provision would have allowed concealed carry holders and persons in constitutional carry states to carry nationwide. The overwhelming vote on this amendment sets the stage for bringing it up again. We need to pick up just three Senators in the 2014 midterm elections.

(3) The Feinstein gun ban lost by a vote of 40-60 - falling far short of a majority - and the magazine ban lost by a vote of 46-54. Neither garnered even the simple majority of 51 votes.  Ironically, Obama expressed dismay that the Senate rules required the super majority of 60 votes to pass the legislation.  If that had been the case, National Concealed Carry Reciprocity, which the left vehemently opposes, would have passed.

Obama made clear his intention to use Wednesdays defeat to rally supporters against Republicans, whom he blamed directly and angrily, suggesting that they had defied the will of the American people and attempted to silence the families of Newtown victims who had a right to be heard in the debate.

Forced to cover a rare political defeat for the left, the mainstream media largely echoed his emotions. Virtually all of CNNs correspondents agreed that the Manchin-Toomey-Schumer bill had been defeated because of the power of the National Rifle Association and the fear of politicians afraid to take on Second Amendment activists. None considered that support for gun control has been declining, or that the legislation itself was deeply flawed.

Again and again, Obama noted that 90% of Americans, and a majority of National Rifle Association members, supported expanded background checks. The former constitutional law lecturer seemed to expect that that majoritys will should be self-executing, ignoring the fact that constitutional rights like the Second Amendment exist precisely to protect minorities against majoritarian passions and presidential demagoguery.

His opponents, the president insisted, refused to make it more difficult for dangerous criminals to buy weaponsignoring one of the core arguments of the other side, namely that dangerous criminals ignore the laws to obtain weapons, while law-abiding citizens bear the burden of new rules and restrictions. He reduced his opponents motives to pure politics, accusing them of being afraid of being punished by an organized, determined minority.

Rarely have Americans ever seen a president attack his opponents so viciously, expressing and evoking such visceral emotionsespecially at a time of mourning. President Obamas tirade contrasted with his reserved, measured response to the Boston Marathon bombings, in which he urged Americans to speak and act with restraint. If this has been, as he claimed, a pretty shameful day in Washington, the presidents tantrum was the most shameful moment of all.

Law Enforcement Officers Overwhelmingly Against Obama Gun Control

survey conducted by PoliceOne Gun Policy & Law Enforcement shows an overwhelming majority of law enforcement officials are against new gun control measures. The survey shows huge support for concealed carry by law abiding citizens and approval for law enforcement leaders across the country who have said they will not enforce more restrictive gun laws in their jurisdictions.

The survey, which involved law enforcement professionals at all ranks, was conducted online March 4-13. Survey questions were composed and compiled by PoliceOne staff and the Pretorian Group, PoliceOne’s parent company, according to a press release.

According to PoliceOne, the results show overwhelming rejection of currently proposed gun control legislation as a means to improve officer safety. Here are the results as outlined by PoliceOne:

  • 86 percent feel the currently proposed legislation would have no effect or a negative effect on improving officer safety
  • 92 percent feel that banning semi-automatic firearms, or “assault weapons,” would have no effect or a negative effect on reducing violent crime
  • 91 percent said the use of a firearm while perpetrating a crime should lead to a stiff, mandatory sentence with no plea bargains.
  • 59 percent believe increasing punishment severity for unlicensed dealers would reduce crime
  • Respondents were more split on background checks, with 31 percent agreeing that mental health background checks in all gun sales would help reduce mass shootings, while 45 percent disagreed
  • 71 percent support law enforcement leaders who have publicly refused to enforce more restrictive gun laws within their jurisdictions
  • 82 percent believe gun buyback or turn-in programs are ineffective in reducing the level of gun violence
  • 91 percent support the concealed carry of firearms by civilians who have not been convicted of a felony and/or have not been deemed psychologically incapable
  • 80 percent feel that legally-armed citizens would likely have reduced the number of casualties in recent mass shooting incidents
  • 38 percent believe the biggest cause of gun violence in the United States is the “decline in parenting and family values”. This was trailed by “overly lax parole and short sentencing standards” at 15 percent and “pop culture influence” (eg. violent movies and video games) at 14 percent

Chiefs of police from big, crime ridden cities are often cherry-picked by liberal politicians to testify before Congress about gun control, making it seem like more gun control is the only solution to reduce crime and that it is supported by the law enforcement community as a whole. The fact is, the opposite is true. Police chiefs are simply appointed politicians in the minority and dont represent the boots, the majority, working under them when it comes to reducing gun violence and implementing more gun control.

Progressive Subversives take advantage of our First Amendment civil rights with their made up statistics and outright lies in their crusade to usurp Second Amendment civil rights in the United States.

By calling attention to ‘a well regulated militia,’ ‘the security of the nation,’ and the right of each citizen ‘to keep and bear arms,’ our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy… The Second Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important. ~John F. Kennedy

A Colorado Sheriff Responds To Progressive Gun Banners

Barack Hussein Obama visited Denver on April 3, 2013 to push his excessive gun legislation. Not one sheriff in the state of Colorado was included in the event. The sheriffs of Colorado representing 62 counties were kept out of the event because their legislative needs were not useful to the president. Obamas purposeful shunning of the state sheriffs could not silence them. Listen as Sheriff Shayne Heap from Elbert County Colorado responds to the presidents comments.

Obama Continues to Stand on the Graves of Children to Push his Progressive Political Agenda

Eleven parents of children killed in the Connecticut Sandy Hook school shooting will fly to Washington with the Barack Hussein Obama on Air Force One tonight following his speech in Hartford.  The parents are going to Washington to lobby Congress to pass partisan laws to restrict law abiding citizens Second Amendment civil rights.

“There is no more effective advocate than a parent who has lost a child,” a senior administration official told ABC News.

In his Hartford speech Obama said Congress owes an obligation to these families, and the many other victims of gun violence, to act on his gun control proposals.  Obama will met with the families prior to his speech.

Obama’s speech today was part of the administration’s broader effort this week to rally public support for the the Progressive gun-control agenda.

Nothing in the proposed law would have stopped the criminals and crazies who committed the atrocities in Newtown and Aurora.  Both mass shootings took place in gun free zones.

It was a concealed carry pistol permit holder in Oregon who stopped the Clackamous Mall shooter, limiting the death toll to two innocent victims and the felonious shooter.

KGW news in Portland reported that Nick Meli, a 22-year-old was at Clackamas Town Center with a friend and her baby when a masked man opened fire.

I heard three shots and turned and looked at Casey and said, are you serious?, he said.

The friend and baby hit the floor.  Meli, who has a concealed carry permit, positioned himself behind a pillar.

He was working on his rifle, said Meli.  He kept pulling the charging handle and hitting the side.

The break in gunfire allowed Meli to pull out his own gun, but he never took his eyes off the shooter.

As I was going down to pull, I saw someone in the back of the Charlotte move, and I knew if I fired and missed, I could hit them, he said.

Meli took cover inside a nearby store.  He never pulled the trigger.  He stands by that decision.

Im not beating myself up cause I didnt shoot him, said Meli.  I know after he saw me, I think the last shot he fired was the one he used on himself.

I dont ever want to see anyone that way ever, said Meli.  It just bothers me.

Of course this news was buried by the Progressive Propaganda machine, which Obama controls.  You wont read or hear any talk about a concealed hangun license holder saving lives in the Oregon mall shooting in the lame stream national media. Progressive Propaganda is the greatest threat the Republic faces.

The laws Obama is pushing are part of the Progressive Plan to ban civilian possession of most firearms within a generation.  If passed these laws will have a negative effect on public safety.  The proposed gun control measures will increase violent crime.  See the results of the gun ban in Australia and the United Kingdom where gun crime is soaring in England where virtually all guns are banned.

New research shows there are more guns but less gun crime in New South Wales, Australia.  Although the number of legally owned firearms has increased substantially over the past decade, firearm crime has decreased.

The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.
